Race season kicks into high gear this weekend with Jiminy racers competing in seven events at six different venues across region, including a U16 race on our home hill Sunday. Our plan for the weekend follows:
Friday, February 9
U18/U16/U14/U12: Meet coaches on Crane Patio at 5PM ready to ski; SL skis and protective gear recommended. We hope to have a SL course set on Ex East for the session.
Saturday, February 10
U18: SL RACE at Sundown - race day logistics to be sent separately. Any athlete not racing should follow U16 plan.
U16: GS training on whirlaway; meet coaches on Whirlaway at 8:55AM ready to ski GS
U14: SL RACE at Catamount; race day logistics to be sent separately; athletes not racing should follow u16 plan.
U12: GS RACE at Wachusett - race day logistics to be sent separately; athletes not racing should follow U10/U8 plan.
U10: Meet coaches on Crane Patio at 9AM ready to ski for coach directed free-skiing and drills; will likely have GS gate training set up in Race Arena.
U8: Meet coaches on Crane Patio at 9AM ready to ski for coach directed free-skiing and drills; will likely have GS gate training set up in Race Arena.
Sunday, February 11
U18: GS free skiing and forerunning (seniors have priority)
U16: GS RACE at Jiminy Peak - all athletes should plan load lift EARLY at 8am for course inspection.
U14: SL RACE at Bousquet - race day logistics to be sent separately
U12: SL RACE at Butternut; race day logistics to be sent separately
U10/U8: Interclub GS RACE at Catamount; race day logistics to be sent separately.
U14/U12/U10/U8 Athletes NOT participating in races Sunday should meet coaches on Crane Patio at 9AM ready to ski for coach directed free-skiing and drills
