Dear Parents of High School Students,

The Jiminy Peak Athlete–Scholar Award Program is in its 27th year. The program, endorsed by the Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort and the Jiminy Peak Race Team coaching staff, is committed to developing well-rounded young athletes as they pursue excellence in both academics and athletics. It is designed to motivate, encourage and reward dedicated ski racers who maintain superior academic achievement while participating in ski racing.

The Athlete–Scholar Program has enjoyed enthusiastic support from our members because it underscores and reinforces important values for our children. We are proud each season to have a large percentage of our racers named as Athlete–Scholars. We look forward to receiving your nominations.

The Athlete-Scholars will be recognized with a certificate that will be presented at the annual awards banquet in March.To qualify for the Athletic Scholar Program racers must:

• Ski with dedication and good sportsmanship in the 2018-2019 season

• Achieve academic excellence at the honor roll level (or equivalent) through 03/1/2019

• Be enrolled in grades 9 – 12 

• Be nominated by their parents

Below please find the Athlete–Scholar Form to be completed by the parents and certified by the school principal/headmaster or guidance counselor.
